                In 1891  advertisement  appeared  in  a  hew  spaper  in  the  united  states  calling  applicants  for  the  post  of  principal  in  a  sri  lankan  girls  school.  Marie  musaeus  higgins  came  to  sri  lanka  in  1891  and  became  the  principal  of  sangamitta  girls  school. when  she  studied  the  history  of  sri  lanka.sha  realised  that  the  sri  lankan  culture,traditions  and  values  had  suffered  as  a  result  of  colonial  influence.there  was  a  heed  for  the  revival  of   the  sri  lankan  culture.some  sri  lankan  philathropists  invited  marie  musaeus  higgins  to  start  a  college  for  girls,at  rosmead  olace.A  valuable  land  was  donated  and  a  mud  hut  was  put  up  as  the  first  building.  Initially  is  students  were  enrolled.the  mud  hut  housed  the  classrooms,office  and  even  the  hostel  for  the  girls.The  school  was  named  af  ter  her.

my  village  is  galahitiyagama.it  is a  rural  village  galahitiyagama is  a  nice  area.there are  paddy fields  and  small coconut  plantations  in my  village.these  lands are  fertile.

most  of the villagers  there,are  farmers.they are honest  and peaceful.they  help  each  other.villagers  unite  to  develop our  village.

the villagers live  in peace  and  co-operation.  my  village  develop  day  by  day.!

our  grand  father’s  name  is  tikiribanda.  he  age  is  65.  he  is  a  good  farmer.  now  he can’t  work  but  he lives  happily.

he is innocent.  he  doesn’t harm  others.my  grand father  is  very  good.

my  grand  father  is  a  good  story  teller.children  are  very  fond  of  his  stories.  he  is  fair.he is  very  kind.  he  speaks  pleasant  words. on  poya  days.he goes  to  the  temple and  obsrves sil.he loves  us.I  love  my grand  fasther.

The  computer  is  a  phenomenon  of  technology  which  arrived  in  the  scene  of  science  in  the  recent  times.This  innovative  product  is  now  being  used  in  schools  throughout  the  world.  This  because  it  possess  the  potential  to  teach   and  develop  creatirity  and  problem  solving

Most  ot  these  schools  have  computer  literacy  classes.  Many  schools  in  sri  lanka  especially  the  urban  ones  have  the  pride  of  possessing  a   computer  In  this  rapidly  developing  world  computer  literacy  is  a  must  to  every  person.  Thus,  I  feel  that  It’s  the  duty  of  the  Ministry  of  Educatlonal  services  to  provide  funds  to  evry  school  to  be  armed  witha  computer. 

A  computer  can  be  used  to  develop  creativity  in  children  to  ennance  the   power  of  problei  solving  and  to  develop  the  writing  and  reading  skills  there  are  mary  other  objeives  of  educatqion  that  can  be  aehieved  by  means  ot  a  computer,  but  each  school  should  have  a  well  plannned  and  right  lrind  of  programme  to  suit  the   relevaht  objetives.  This  should  be  done  by  competent  teachers  who  possess  a  thotough  knowledge  of  elements  of  computer  science  and  it’s  applicartion  to  our  needs.

Henry  Jayasena  was  a  great  areat  in  Sri  Lanka.  He  was  born  6th  of  July  1931.  He  born  in  the  Bendiyamulla.  gampana  he  father  is  a  teacher  mother  wasa  house  wife.  Mr.henry  jayasena  yonugest  of  a  family  six. he  has  a  four  brothers  and  a  sister.  he  school  affended  is  Roman  catholic  primary  school  and  bendiyamulla  and  loronz  college,gampaha  and  nalanda  vidyalaya.  he  wife  is  manel  jayasena.  he  grend  chhildren  is  randira  and  rinsajo.  mr.henry  jayasen  actor  and  whiter  ori  ginel  book  is  kuweni.  he   adaptetions  book  is  hunyvataya  kathawa,concasian  chalk  circre  diriya  mawaha  daruwo,  mother  courage  and  her  cildren.  he  writings  is  minisu  vudaruwo,  lazarus  saha  niliyakage   kathawak. 

Sri  Lanka  is  luky  that  she  does  not  have  to  shae  water  country.Hence  she  is  able  to manage her  water  resour  ces  and  minimize  environmental hazards.  If  we  are   to  preserve  the  natural  beauty  of  sri  lanka  we  have  to  manage  our  water  resources  well.  sri  lanka  is  called,  the  pearl  of  the  indian  Ocean,  because  of  her  shape  and  natural  beaut and  natural  beauty.  There  are  two  aspects  to  water  management; firstly  to  allocate  water  to  the  environment  according  to  the  environmental  demands,  second Iy  to  supply  the  human  requirement  of  water  for  agricalture,  indu  stry,  power  generation  and  domestic  work.  Excessive  removal  of  water  from  rivers,  tanks  and  other  waterways  has  exposedbird,  animal,  fish  and  plant  species  to  danger.  It  also  has  threatened  the  livelihood  of  farmers  and  fishermen.  Mary  people  depend  on  river  water  fordrinking,  cooking,  washing  nad  for  varipus  other  uses.  when  the  supply  of  water  for  irrigation  is  interrupted,  the  farmers  cannot  cultivate  their  lands  and  inland  fishing  will  not  be  possible.   The  flow  of  water  keepe  the  ecosystem  healthy  and  productive.  Dr. validimir  smakhtin,  the  principal  researcher  at  The  International  watet  Management  Institute (IWMI) based  in  colombo,  points  out  that  the  waterflow  has  to  very  at  bifferenttimes  of the  year,  to  maintain  the  good  health  of  the  ecosystem.According  to  the  Iwmi  the  environmental  needs  are  not  being  met  as  too  much  of   water  is  being  removed.
